Ed Fortmiller remembers Christmas 1968


"Christmas Day '68 these orphans from an orphanage showed up and they were given a bunch of gifts. I'm not even sure where the gifts came from.

December 30

The familiar unit crest shown on these pages was not authorized for use by the Army until December 30.  But prior to that time, many personnel wore an unauthorized cloth patch or a metal crest buttoned to the uniform shirt.
