By 1969, the 24th Evac had completed most of the needed improvements.  The hospital had 320 beds, 200 surgical beds and 120 medical beds with 72 beds on Wards 15 and 16.  The average daily inpatient census was 225 with an increase in the percentage of Seriously Ill and Very Seriously Ill patients.  The assigned strength consisted of 30 Medical Corps, 2 Dental Corps, 7 Medical Service Corps, 63 Army Nurse Corps, 1 Army Medical Specialist Corps, 2 Chaplains, and 200 enlisted personnel.

The number of patient admissions for 1969 were 15,135, and there were 302 deaths.  A total of 134,042 x-rays were taken. 

The 24th Evacuation Hospital (Semi mobile) received it's third Meritorious Unit Citation.  (Source: Lest we Forget Part II.  Barnett and Foss)
