November through December 2003
Congratulations to the crew who built the 2002 reunion at Ft. Sam in San Antonio. I have heard nothing but wonderful reports about the success of that event.
We had a great time too at the l993 reunion at the Mayflower Hotel and "The Wall" in Washington in l993. I have a few historical booklets that Captain Jody Foss (that GREAT ER Nurse) and I put together for the l993 re-union. Contact me for a copy. No Charge.
Would give an arm and a leg to hear once more from Major Sally (I'm a little rowdy) McNally who worked as a gas-passer in the OR. She is a beauty and a great pal. Sally, we just could not find you for the l993 reunion. Katey and I really tried!!!!!!!
Special greetings to the hospital patients who attended the l993 reunion. They made our weekend. Great Americans ALL!!!!!
Also, lost the address for Sp/5 John Mederos, the company clerk (and the brains of the operation) from l968 to l969. He trained Radar O'Reiley. John, send your new address to me, Please.
Special thanks to Eddie Fortmiller and his great wife for running the website. Captain (Doctor) John Baldwin and friends provided the money to host this website, and Eddie is keeping it current.
Ole Barn and family are well and enjoying this Christmas season in mild Colorado.
I miss all of you and regard all of you as the best friends I ever had the opportunity to make.
Special Greetings to the Rosenbergs in Cherry Hills, NJ, my god-son William Donald Reed in the DA's office in Galveston, Keith B. Reed from Dallas, and we lost the address for Juan Santiago who arrived in Wetnam in the fall of l968 and assumed my temporary duties as Mess Officer. However, we didn't poison any staff or patients or guests during my short tour of duty as Mess Officer. Master Sgt. Jerry Baker was (is) the greatest Mess Sgt. in the entire Army. Juan Juan, we'd love to hear from you.
Could go on forever. All the best to everyone. Barny: August
